150th Anniversary of the Melbourne Medical School

image-tools (35)The Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) joins with the University of Melbourne in celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Melbourne Medical School in 2012.

Since its establishment in 1996, CERA has been affiliated with the University and includes a representative on its Board of Directors, currently Professor Terry Nolan.

CERA continues to encompass the University’s Department of Ophthalmology, part of the Melbourne Medical School. The Centre and the Department share space and resources and are co-located at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

CERA’s Managing Director, Professor Jonathan Crowston, is the Head of Department and Ringland Anderson Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Melbourne.

Many of our academic staff have joint appointments at CERA and the University of Melbourne and we currently host approximately 30 University research higher degree students.
