The Centre for Eye Research Australia is established as a Company limited by guarantee [ABN 72 076 481 984].
CERA was constituted as a joint undertaking between the University of Melbourne, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Vision Australia, the Victorian Lions Foundation, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (Victorian Chapter), CBM, and the Ansell Ophthalmology Foundation. These are the Members of the Company.
The CERA Board brings together four Directors nominated by the Members and up to six independent Directors.
- The Research Advisory Committee advises the Board and the Managing Director on research strategy.
- The Finance and Risk Committee provides oversight of financial, risk and compliance management and investments.
CERA has signed a formal affiliation agreement with The University of Melbourne.
