CERA and Stem Cells Australia hosted a special screening of “Stem Cell Revolutions” a documentary featuring interviews with eminent scientists and experts in the field of stem cells. Stem Cell Revolutions charts the history and scientific evolution of stem cell research – from the earliest experiments that first revealed stem cells in the body, to leading current scientific and clinical developments.
With a particular focus on the use of stem cells for treating eye disease, this film is a must-see for anyone interested in the potential of stem cell research to restore sight. Following the screening, there was a discussion panel featuring stem cell researcher Dr Alice Pébay, ophthalmologist Dr Alex Hewitt and Head of Education, Ethics Law and Community Awareness at Stem Cells Australia, Associate Professor Megan Munsie.
