Leaving a Bequest

There is a growing need for research into eye diseases and their treatment and support for those living with low vision.

Researchers at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA), who are working to eliminate diseases including age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataract, are benefiting now, from the generous gifts of past generations.

CERA leads the fight against eye disease and preventable blindness. Our research covers basic science, genetics, clinical and surgical research, epidemiology and public health. Through teaching, research, translation of research into clinical practice and eye health education the work of CERA makes a practical difference to people’s lives.

Leaving a bequest for eye research is a practical way to help save the gift of sight for future generations. A bequest can provide scholarships for students or fellowships for young researchers, help purchase equipment and fund laboratory and other project costs for research.

Subject to the wishes of a benefactor, bequests received by the Eye Research Australia Foundation are invested to preserve and grow their value. The income generated will be used to fund research projects at the Centre for Eye Research Australia.

A bequest to the Foundation will assist the Centre for Eye Research Australia in its mission to eliminate vision loss and blindness and reduce its impact on individuals and the community through quality research, clinical work and education.

We warmly invite you to consider investing in eye research through a bequest and join an enduring partnership for the benefit of future generations
