Oculomics – the study of systemic disease through retinal imaging – has emerged as a powerful tool for non-invasive health assessment. The retina shares embryological and physiological features with the brain and vasculature, making it a valuable biomarker for neurological and cardiovascular diseases.
This project will leverage cutting-edge AI techniques to analyze retinal images for systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. By integrating large-scale imaging datasets with AI technologies, we aim to enhance early diagnosis and improve risk stratification for these conditions, paving the way for novel precision medicine approaches in clinical care.
