Clinical trials

Register your interest in clinical trials

To express interest in taking part in current or future clinical trials at CERA, please join our online database below. First, here are some important things you need to know.

How it works

By registering on this site you will join a database of people with eye diseases (or normal control subjects) who are interested in participating in clinical trials.

For those with an eye disease, there is no guarantee that there will be a trial for you, but by having your name on our list, the possibility of finding you when we need you is far greater.

We are also interested in people who think they have no eye disease at all and are willing to be normal control participants.

Please note this registry is only for people residing in Australia as we have no jurisdiction surrounding trials conducted elsewhere in the world.

Information you’ll need

When filling in the registration form, please try to fill in as many details about you, your eye disease and eye care professional as you can.

The more details you can provide us, the more likely we are to be able to determine your suitability for any current or upcoming clinical trials.

In continuing to register we will ask you for contact details of your eye care professional (optometrist and/or ophthalmologist) such as name, address, phone contact and email address.

We recommend you have this information before you begin your registration. If these details are not available, you can still register your interest.

What happens next?

Once you have completed the registration form you will receive an email confirming your registration.

We will not be contacting you directly again unless we believe (based upon the information you have provided) you may be suitable for a trial.

If we are recruiting and you fit our initial criteria you will receive a follow up email to obtain further details.

Are you in a clinic?

If your eye care professional has information about participating in CERA research around their clinic, they will be able to provide you with a form to help you register your interest.

Please take this form after your eye care professional has completed it and follow the QR code to complete your registration.
