Ahead of International Women’s Day 2024 CERA hosted a celebration of the achievements and successes of female researchers.

Dr Anna Wang, CERA’s first Equity Fellow for Excellence in Vision Research, explains the technique she used to find a new type of cell in the eye, how her work could lead to new treatments for glaucoma and other eye diseases, and how this Fellowship is supporting her at a critical point in her career.

CERA’s Professor Lyndell Lim and Associate Professor Andrew Symons unveil a new AI-powered portable camera, generously donated by philanthropists Jaqui Maree and George Stamas AM. The camera will be used in research aiming to help women with diabetes protect their sight during pregnancy.
